In this painting, a massive tower rises in the center of the composition, which can symbolize human ambitions and their infinity, symbolizing the nature of progress, which in turn can be both creative and destructive.

Around the tower, there are figures of people, their gestures and poses create an atmosphere of tension and anticipation.

The background of the painting is done in dark tones, creating a contrast between the gloom and the light of the tower. The work creates a feeling of heaviness and a reminder of the limitations of being, which can also be related to the works of Ed Ruschka or Francis Bacon, who explored the themes of fear and existence in optical illusion. The square chessboard tiles at the bottom emphasize the idea of dichotomy and are a symbol of choice.

The figures of men surrounding the stairs are allegorical images symbolizing different aspects of power and reflections of human nature. The work as a whole provokes reflections on the role of man in the complex hierarchy of society.
